August features events all over the state of Michigan from the east side to the west side and everywhere in between. This is the time to strategically plan this month so you are ready to rock and roll at our festival of races next month. So maybe Clarkston for sprint race then up to beautiful Petoskey with the family, then down to Ludington for some time on the beach. The last weekend is Annmarie's event, Girls Best Friend at which she is in charge and it is one specifically for all you females, ladies only on that one. Finally TRI, what use to be Autumn Colors, is now TRI, why? because it is a simple event with a 1980's entry fee of $50, no awards, no raffle, a simple post race fruit table at a closed course in Holly Mi.

Venue/Area Information
The park itself is located in Vicksburg, less than 10k from downtown Kalamazoo. Plenty to see and do in and around the park and Kalamazoo. The event was formally the Prairie View triathlon. Through many emails the female athletes have been asking for a race of their own. We have looked at new venues, looked our existing venues and this is a great fit. A closed run course, a flat all right turn bike course, and a clear shallow lake swim in a small lake at a beautiful park. Ladies get your neighbors, fellow workers involved, see the Get Fit Michigan program.
