Holly Oaks ORV park has a bright future for a different clientele, a human-powered one. With miles of trails in development we are stoked for the future this venue holds for our events. It will truly be an evolving adventure that will have a 12-24 hour challenge added in the future. The one constant will be dirt, how much dirt, will be up to mother nature. Which of course just adds to the challenge and excitement of an event under the stars. So many cool things happening with this event you will not want to miss it!
We will keep it simple, it will be timed of course, but most laps on the 5k course win! That simple. Compete Solo or with friends in the relay all under the night sky stars. Bonfires, grilled food, and more.
The first 150 registered will receive a custom LED sport beanie.
5k all terrain challenging loop Timed
Most laps win!At Powerman Michigan, athletes will race in their appropriate age groups based on their age as of Dec. 31, 2022 Awards will be issued based on those results.

More than likely we will have a variation on the bike course from the run course so they are not the same. Come out to ride and run on the most unique adventure course you will ever experience! The Holly Oaks ORV Park was made in a former quarry with steep drops, great climbs, and twist-n-turns. When Mother Nature gets involved things will become very interesting. This course is ever-evolving but has one constant – dirt. This nighttime ride will be exhilarating! Bring your trail shoes and be ready for any type of weather.
There will be one aid station just past the finish on each lap with water, Gatorade Endurance, Pickles, Bananas, Vaseline, and Pepsi.

Checking in another athlete
Each participant must pick up their own packet and may not check-in for another athlete.
Exceptions: A parent or guardian may pick up for their child.
Note: Participants 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to sign event waivers.
Timing Bib Tag
Each athlete will be assigned a timing bib tag. This must not in any way be modified, folded, cut. This has your timing tag on it. This must be displayed on the front of what ever you are participating in. This is how we will record your splits, start and finish. Again do not modify this in any way and display on the front when crossing the finish line.
We provide all the timing and scoring services for each and every event we host. This will be with ChampionChip or ChronoTrack timing systems.
Throughout the course, there will be sets of timing mats or gators. You must cross over these areas. Do NOT avoid them or attempt to jump over them.
Every effort will be made to supply you with a finish time. However, it is explicitly expressed that the electronic timing systems are not foolproof. They are electronics and computers which are outside in the elements and they are not perfect systems. We along with any other timer out there can only score what is captured in a system.

In our efforts to keep every race safe and fair, there are specific rules we have adopted and in some cases modified to ensure you and your families safety, as well as making the events fair for everyone.
1. Yelling at or using profanities in any way shape or form towards 3D staff or support crew will not be tolerated and will result in automatic disqualification and could result in a suspension from events.
2. The filming of an athlete on a course will result in a disqualification.
3. Pacing will not be questioned. You cannot follow or be followed by a fellow athlete, friend, or family member at any time on the course by any means. This will be deemed pacing and therefore will result in disqualification.
4. Changing swim/start waves or switching events without informing event management BEFORE an event begins will result in disqualification.
5. Adjusting or moving another athlete’s gear in the transition area when their gear was placed first will result in a 5:00 minute penalty.
6. Throwing trash on the course at any time before, during, or after will result in a 5:00 minute penalty for the first offense and disqualification on the second. Designated trash throwing areas are only at aid station spots and approximately 25m before and after.
7. Failure to comply with emergency vehicles and event management staff during an event will result in automatic disqualification. Emergency vehicles and personnel have the right away at all times and an athlete must give them that right away by doing everything possible to get out of the way.
Specific to Multi-Sport events, your governing body for this event is Multi-Sport America. The rules set forth by the governing body will be adhered to in most cases. However this event is owned and operated by 3 Disciplines, therefore we reserve the right as the owner, developer host of the event to add to, modify, or increase enforcement of a rules.
Specific to Multi-sport:
The center line violation rule will result in a disqualification! An athlete cannot cross the center line for any reason whatsoever. This is extremely dangerous and could result in serious injury or death therefore will not be tolerated.
USA Track & Field & RRCA rules will be will be enforced with running specific events.
Being that the first run is on the path, you need to really put the hammer down to get a position at the start, then get into your groove on that first run. When hitting the bike if you are doing 2 or 3 loops I would attack the hill on the first lap with a nice effort. If you do not have an opportunity to ride the course prior to you need to use that first lap as a learning lap, mostly on the hill and navigating the descent. After that first lap, you know how to attack that hill, but you must attack the hill, this can be a big game-changer in your position going into run #2. Run #2 for this race will be interesting just because you will be able to see and even time how far ahead or behind you are and adjust accordingly. So that second run will be a good one so pay attention when you are heading out, and see where you are and what you need to do to catch folks.
Event management reserves the right to postpone, change format, modify courses, or cancel the event at any time. The safety of athletes, staff, support crew, and officials is our top priority and will never be compromised.
Event management is not responsible for late arrivals, athletes not finding a venue, misdirected, or delayed for any reason. Late arrivals will NOT be issued a chip and strap and you will not be allowed in the transition area once it is closed. Again, there will be NO refunds for any reason.
Inclement Weather:
Event management reserves the right to cancel an event due to inclement weather or the POTENTIAL of inclement weather. Every attempt will be made to host an event whether in it’s advertised form or altered form. Meaning a bike course or distance could be modified. Under any circumstance a refund or transfer will not be issued. Athletes safety will not be compromised.
If an event has mandatory bike check-in, you must check in your bike during the allotted check in times typically the day before. Failure to do so will mean you are not going to race and again no refunds will be given.
These rules are in place for a reason and deviation of them is not fair to the hundreds of athletes that follow the rules.
First time event, Athlete Experience:
Athletes participating in his/her first “long course” event will result in an interview with the onsite race director. His/her experience will be considered in a personal interview with the race director on site if a question of ability to safely finish is at stake. Failure to comply with the race director’s decision will result in a disqualification if there is an un-willingness on an athlete’s part to change events. Safety will NOT be compromised under any circumstances.
Age participation rules:
Kids 17 and under may NOT compete in half ironman distance events.
Kids must be 10 yrs. of age to compete in adult sprint events.
The race director will have final say for anyone racing at any event.
A lost chip will be billed directly to the athlete for a $40 fee and may result in no times for event. It is in no way event management’s responsibility to post a time for an athlete who has lost his/her chip during an event. It is his/her responsibility to ensure that chip is on at all times.
An un-paid bounced check will mean you will be put on the “banned” list. Not a great list to be on if you plan on racing in the future. If you made a mistake with your banking, we understand, but just be sure we are paid after corrections are made.
A t-shirt is only guaranteed if the athlete registered by the 14 day cut-off for pre-registration.
3D has a “lost and found” bin. If you have lost something during a race, please contact us at: info@3disciplines.com
